Drone Roof Inspection

Drone roof inspection

Brief: To provide a drone roof inspection for a residential property, holiday barn and working barn

A full drone inspection was conducted on firstly the main residential accommodation, secondly, a refurbished holiday barn and lastly the working barn.

We were able to zoom in and take a bank of 4k high resolution photographs of the gable ends, ridges, chimney stack and cowl, gullies, valleys, tiles, solar panels and velux windows.

Many of the areas were difficult to reach and high up making viewing these areas difficult and potentially hazardous.

We observed moss and algae build up, blocked gullies and guttering which could lead to potential problems in the future with water drainage and leaks especially during periods of high rain fall.

The drone enabled us to check for broken tiles, moss build up around the velux windows and solar panels. Close attention was paid to the chimney to check for cracks and the cowl was inspected which was all sound.

Observations were shared so that the customer can organise the relevant trades people to conduct the work.

The drone was really helpful when inspecting the barn.  Barns are sometimes less structurally sound and so the drone provides a close up look quickly and safely and can cover the large area with ease.
